Who are we?
The core of PRIMA is seven research groups that join forces to make a difference in the field of cancer immunotherapy through scientific excellence and breakthrough discoveries, by unlocking the full potential of the human immune system.
Funding
PRIMA has 10-years of funding from the Research Council of Norway, and own-financing from the host and partner institutions. In addition, we depend largely on external funding from other national and international funding bodies.
Organization
PRIMA is hosted by the Medical Faculty at the University of Oslo (UiO), Institute for Clinical Medicine, and one research group is affiliated to the Centre for Molecular Medicine Norway (NCMM).
Oslo University Hospital (OUS) is a partner organization in PRIMA, and the Centre is affiliated to the Division for Laboratory Medicine, and the Division for Cancer Medicine.
The research groups are physically located at both Radiumhospitalet, Rikshospitalet and in Oslo Science Park (Forskningsparken), and some team members are located at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden.

Each research group at PRIMA is represented in the YSWG by a young scientist. YSWG representatives work closely with the Principal Investigators (PIs) and Centre management to support and develop various Centre activities, including workshops, retreats, public outreach, and social events. Additionally, the YSWG plays a crucial role in voicing the concerns and ideas of the young scientists at PRIMA. The
“Collaboration across groups is essential to succeed as a center, and to obtain this it is important to get to know each other and “become a family”
